R. A. Long High School Announces New Principal

Longtime R. A. Long principal, Rollie Johnson, is retiring at the end of the 2007 school year. The Longview School District has named Andrew Frost as the new princial. See The Daily News story here.

We thank Mr. Johnson for his years of service and dedication to R. A. Long and wish him a long and happy retirement.

We would also like to welcome Mr. Frost into the Lumberjack Family. We look forward to working with Mr. Frost to preserve the history of R. A. Long and to continue to contribute to its future.

Hall of Fame Formed

The R.A. Long High School Alumni Association is proud to announce the formation of the R.A. Long High School Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame seeks to honor members of the R.A. Long community in the areas of Individual Athletic Achievement, Team Athletic Achievement, and Lifetime Achievement. Click here for details. Plaques honoring all inductees are located in the R.A. Long Gymnasium on the walkway outside the weight room (the weight room was originally the swimming pool).
